Don't Take NO for An Answer

The past two Fridays I have given you the first eighteen "Words to Live By." These were written by Regina Brett, who was 90 years old at the time. They were published in The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, OH. Today I share with you the next nine on the list. I'll include more later, but wanted to give you time to absorb these words of wisdom.

If you'd like to see the first nine, click here. If you'd like to see the second nine, click here.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?'
27. Always choose life.

Which one(s) mean the most to you? Any you'd like to add?

P.S. The ones that hit home for me are #20 (don't take NO for an answer) and #25 (no one is in charge of your happiness but you).

Great list, thank you, Sheri.
I have practiced #21, 22, and 26 with great success. It's amazing how nice those good sheets and the flow feel. Blessings.

I choose #23. And I'm wearing purple -- shocker!

I love looking over these lists.

I love them all but the ones that stood out the most for me are #20 Don't take no (life's too short). #21 Candles..lingerie I really need to do better in this dept.
#22 over prepare then go with the flow. I am going to have a lot of company in the next few weeks and I was getting so stressed about planning it was taking the fun out of it. I sat down last night and made a calendar.. cleaning, meals and then decided I would do my best and let the rest go! It's more important that I enjoy this special time with family and friends.
