Limerick Hiccups

This week I tried something new. I entered the Limerick Chick Contest sponsored by Lavender Luz of writemindopenheart.

After working on this for nearly an hour, I found out that I wasn't as good as I thought at rhyming and limericizing (is that a word?).

So here is my entry into the Luz's Limerick Chick Contest:

Lavender Luz spurred my passion
To reach others with love and compassion
She writes from her heart
And she's doing her part
To help others live life in an authentic fashion.

What's even more interesting is that after I was done writing it, I found myself thinking in limerick form.
My day's filled with laundry and dishes.
I long for a genie and three tiny wishes..."
It was like getting the hiccups, but with more cadence and bad rhymes.

As I was preparing for tomorrow's weekly Intuitive Tuesday tarot post, I started my limerick hiccuping once again. This is NOT my official entry, into the Limerick Chick contest, but I thought it might bring a smile to your face...
Lavender Luz is my inspiration
Virtually reaching beyond our nation
Is my bloggy niche
To help readers soothe life’s unending itch.
Hopefully you'll check back on Tuesdays to see what tarot card and intuitive insights are posted on Intuitive Tuesday.

Does anyone know the cure for limerick hiccups? Help!!!

I know what you mean! It sounds so easy, like a child's entry into poetry writing, but it takes quite a bit of crafting!

And yes, then it gets into your head.

I love that you're thinking in verse now. And, of course, I'm honored to be mentioned :-)

Hic!

I do believe you are on a roll now! I realize I'm late but better late than never right? I love all of these and I know they are harder than most people think.

Good job, I love it!
