12-12-12 A Time to Be Seen

12-12-12 -- A Time To Truly Be Seen

A once in a lifetime event, 12-12-12 brings together the energy of the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 12. This powerful combination marks a brand new start, coming together possibly in new ways, creating, expanding, exploring, connecting and fully expressing who you really are.  To get a clearer understanding of how this works, we’ll look at each of the numbers separately and then use “divine addition” to blend and expand.

Here’s how it works from a numerological perspective. The number twelve contains the number 1 and the number 2. In addition (pun intended), by finding the two-digit sum (1+2), you also get the energy of the number 3. Let’s take a look at each:

Number 1 – “I am.” This marks the start of a cycle, initiating new thoughts and actions, and is a sign of originality, ambition, courage and change. You feel excitement and wonder as you step into new beginnings of all kinds – from relationships to career, health and finances (to name a few)...the opportunities are limitless within the energy of the number 1. Think of yourself as a pioneer complete with curiosity, courage, initiative and energy. You are ready to move forward…on your mark, get set…GO!

Number 2 – “We are.” The number two is a number of balance, blending, relationship, choice, partnership and sometimes duality. The number 2 brings together two “ones” for a synergistic explosion. Two brings into account things that are necessary when more than one are involved…for example: communication, relationships, patience, diplomacy, tact, compassion, sympathy, cooperation and caring. Not only a single point (as in the number 1), the number two (two points which form a line) provides direction. You are not only off to a great start, but you now know which direction you are headed.

Number 3 – “We create.” When two come together with true intention and purpose, the sky is the limit! Partnership can result in offspring, children, new plans, creative ventures, happiness, enthusiasm and expanded energy. Geometrically, three points indicate not only direction, but stability, as three points geometrically make a plane, a surface or platform on which to create.  The blending of three energies magnifies the power of two exponentially. Think of the energy and ideas generated in a brainstorming session with three or more people. Here you blend the powerful energy of 1, 2, and 3…potentially unstoppable!

Combining all of this energy brings us to the number 12 (times 3 on the auspicious date 12-12-12). Twelve combines the power of the numbers 1, 2 and 3, to create a feeling of completion abundance and a deep yearning to create and express yourself authentically in the world. It indicates a time to TRULY BE SEEN with no social masks or rules to follow. You know who you are and have confidence in your expression of the divine.  This is a great time to ask such questions as “What is my purpose here on earth?” “How can I authentically express myself?” and “How can I use my gifts to serve others?”
For me today’s date, 12/12/12 brings a feeling of energy, hope, new beginnings and purpose. It’s time to more fully step into my divine purpose on earth, whether it is through life coaching, teaching yoga, providing intuitive guidance or raising my three teenage boys. I have great purpose on this earth and am so very grateful.

Speaking of grateful...I want to wish my sister, Lori (Lavendar Luz) from  www.writemindopenheart, a very Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great day!

With these insights, what does the date 12-12-12 mean for you?

What's Up With the Energy?

One of my friends/clients (I'll call her as "L") left me a message saying, "I was wondering if energetically there is something going on right now and why there is so much turmoil? Can you pull a card for the universe and see what's going on with the energy? "

The card I selected was the Six of Swords from Ciro Marchetti's Gateway to the Divine Tarot deck.

This card symbolizes a journey or a transition from one way of life to the next. On a grand scale (collective energy), this type of transition could result in the universal energy feeling erratic and somewhat funky, which may be what "L" was talking about.

It's helpful to not only look at this from a universal standpoint, but from your own individual perspective. Here are a couple of things to ponder, especially if you are also feeling a shift in the energy...

Maybe you've outgrown parts of your life and it is time to leave that behind. This may be a slow gradual that you hardly notice it, or it might feel when you were growing up and one day your clothes would fit fine and the next, your pants would feel tight or be too short. Possibly you are outgrowing who you have been and are ready to step into "more" whatever that may be.

Liminal is the word that comes to mind, which refers to the space in between. According to Wikipedia, liminality comes from the Latin word, limen, which means "a threshold."It continues: "Liminality is the quality of ambiguity or disorientation that occurs in the middle stage of rituals, when participants no longer hold their pre-ritual status but have not yet begun the transition to the status they will hold when the ritual is complete. During a ritual's liminal stage, participants "stand at the threshold" between their previous way of structuring their identity, time, or community, and a new way, which the ritual establishes."

If you feel restless or feel that something is "off," the Six of Swords indicates that you are in between "life as you have known it" (where it is comfortable, safe and somewhat predictable) and "something new and different" (which might feel intimidating and/or exciting). You are standing on the threshold to your new life...and may be experiencing a mix of emotions that might include both grief and/or relief for what you are leaving behind as well excitement and/or possibly anxiety about what lies ahead.

The Six of Swords not only recognizes these confusing feelings, but reassures you that moving ahead is your best bet. Key words here are "brighter days ahead." So recognize that you are in the liminal space (on the threshold between the old and the new) and keep moving forward, honoring where you have been, but also preparing yourself as you grow into the future...with both an open mind and an open heart.
