Intuitive Tuesday -- Three of Wands

Every Tuesday I select one card and give you my interpretation of it. See how it applies to your life. What messages are here for you?

Each Thursday I choose one reader's comment from Intuitive Tuesday and pull an additional card for more clarity...so check back on Thursday to see what cards come up.

The card I pulled today is the Three of Wands from the Gilded Tarot deck. What a perfect card for the upcoming New Year!

Threes symbolize creation, growth, expansion and two things coming together to make something bigger and better...a blending of the best elements. The suit of Wands symbolizes energy and action.

The Three of Wands shows a person looking towards the future and the possibilities that lie ahead. This card has to do with the blending of creative elements or ideas, taking partnership to a whole new level, and can also indicate a new project, the future, and things beginning to take off. There is excitement ahead and lots of opportunities on the way.

According to the book, "An Introduction to Tarot," by Cassandra Bee, the Three of Wands, "represents looking forward to completing a mission with optimism, possibly a commercial enterprise or trade...We are happy to watch as our ideas take off, suggesting we have learned to let go and delegate to others to fulfill our plans." According to Bee, the key words are: "foresight, expansion, having a mission in life, enterprise, trade, delegating power."

As you read through the meanings of this card, you probably have a pretty good idea what the Three of Wands is pointing to in your life. You've probably been working on this project for a while, gaining experience and studying for some time, and now it is time to bring this energy to the next level. You have enough information and intuitive direction to move forward with confidence.

As you move into the New Year, use the energy of the Three of Wands (excitement, enthusiasm, confidence and expansion) to step forward...even if you can't prove "it," (whatever "it" is)...because you intuitively KNOW that this is the right move for you right now.

It's time to overcome the voices in your head that may be causing you to doubt yourself, question what you are doing, or not fully engage in your bigger purpose here on earth. Think BIG...bigger than you've ever thought before. Open your mind and your heart and dream big dreams, because with the energy of the Three of Wands, anything is possible.

I bet you can think of when I saw this card! I see this new year as bringing many new partnerships and expansions to create things that I could not do alone, and to help others do the same.

This is hopeful. I've been having a hard time accepting the reality of the possible new addition to our family. Partly this is out of fear of loss, and partly out of another kind of fear. This card gives me courage that there is a happy future ahead. Then, someday, I can refocus on things not related to procreation. That will be a relief.

Excitement, enthusiasm, expansion...I know just what this is referring to. As soon as the holiday hubbub is calm again, I am going to look to the future and move my project forward!

I think I want a reading about this over the weekend, K?

Is it just my obsessed brain, or is practically every Intuitive Tuesday card about making a baby? :-)
This a great card, Sheri - thank you!

"suggesting we have learned to let go and delegate to others to fulfill our plans"

I'm with Maddy. Could this have anything to do with pursuing donor eggs to bring our child into our family? Though I don't feel ready to move on just yet.

With the focus on the holidays, it is more challenging to trust in how it will flow in the new year - so I appreciate this card as a reminder to keep the faith and keep the dream alive.... and big.
Thanks Sheri - all the best of the holidays to everyone :)

Well, I definitely did not think of making a baby, LOL. I'm thinking about taking care of some professional things that I've put off and moving forward in some creative ventures (starting photography classes). Thanks for this. Definitely feels very hopeful.
